MISHAWAKA, Ind. - Students from the school city of Mishawaka competed today in the Unified Track and Field Champions Day at Mishawaka High School.
Today's event was sponsored by The Special Olympics and aims to create a competitive and inclusive environment for students who wouldn't normally get to compete.
Students from kindergarten through eighth grade got to compete in the events.
The Mishawaka school district hopes to grow events like this in the future.
