ABC 57 SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The City of South Bend will host two free community meal pick-up events in November to assist and support residents in need of a nutritional meal.
On Wednesday, November 19, approximately 200 spaghetti-to-go meals will be served on a first-come, first-served basis at the Martin Luther King Jr. Dream Center, located at 1522 Linden Avenue, from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M., or until meals run out. Green beans, corn, and bottled water are also included with the to-go meal.
On Thursday, November 20, approximately 200 of the same to-go meals will be served on a first-come, first-served basis at the Charles Black Community Center, located at 3419 West Washington Street from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., or until meals run out.
Community members will be directed to the community room side doors off the parking lot for meal pick-ups.
There will also be two free community meal pick-up events next month on December 17 and December 18. More details will be shared as we get closer to those dates.
