South Bend Police officer placed on unpaid leave after arrest

A South Bend Police officer who is facing multiple charges for allegedly having an inappropriate relationship with a 16-year-old has been placed on unpaid administrative leave.
Police Chief Scott Ruszkowski asked the Board of Public Safety to put Timothy Barber on unpaid leave pending the outcome of the trial.
The request was granted at the meeting Wednesday morning.
