South Bend Police investigating shooting on Birdsell Street

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The South Bend Police Department is on the scene of a shooting in the 500 block of Birdsell Street.
A call came in at around 5:30 p.m. reporting the shooting, the police department said.
Police said one victim has been taken to the hospital.
The department’s Violent Crimes Unit is investigating.
