South Bend holiday trash schedule announced

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Due to the holiday weekend, the city of South Bend announced changes to the schedule for trash pick-up next week.

Monday is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, a federal holiday, so the city offices will be closed, and personnel will not be working.

No trash will be picked up on Monday in observance of the holiday.

The trash schedule for South Bend areas will, therefore, be delayed for the week.

Areas where trash would normally be picked up on Monday will be picked up on Tuesday, areas normally serviced on Tuesday will be picked up on Wednesday, Wednesday’s area trash pick-up will be moved to Thursday, and Thursday’s areas will be picked up on Friday.
