South Bend Fire Department responds to Beacon Heights fire Wednesday afternoon

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend Firefighters were dispatched to a fire in the 3400 block of Ardmore Trail Wednesday afternoon for an apartment fire at the Beacon Heights complex.

"Members arrived to find a working fire on the second floor of a two-story apartment," fire officials said. "The fire was quickly extinguished while primary searches proved negative. No injuries were reported, and the cause remains under investigation."
