SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Christmas arrived early at Four Winds Field Sunday as the South Bend Cubs held their Christmas in July event at the ballpark.
The Cubs were decked out in jolly attire as they took the field to face off against the Beloit Sky Carp, all while fans enjoyed Christmas music and even had the chance to give Santa and Mrs. Claus an early heads-up of what they want on their Christmas lists!
"The best part is we're about halfway to Christmas, so in addition to everyone just getting that feel of Christmas music at the ballpark, it's just another great day, another great something to add to the day of some good South Bend Cubs baseball." says Assistant General Manager of Ticket Sales, Andy Francis.
The event also featured a miracle minute, as community members made donations for the Salvation Army Kroc Center.
