SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- On Saturday, the South Bend Community School Corporation Transportation Department held a 'Hop On and Hire' event to offer prospective school bus drivers the opportunity to learn about the position, complete an application, interview on-site, and even test drive a school bus.
The event was designed to provide interested candidates with a firsthand look at what it takes to become a school bus driver while helping SBCSC fill critical transportation positions ahead of the 2026-27 school year.
