South Bend announces trash and yard waste pickup schedule for Independence Day holiday

SOUTH BEND, Ind.— Due to the upcoming holiday, the city of South Bend has announced changes to the schedule for trash and yard waste pickup for the week of July 5-9.

In observance of Independence Day, city offices will be closed Monday, July 5.

The trash schedule for South Bend areas will be delayed by one day for the week.

The holiday week trash and yard waste schedule for the week of July 5:

• Monday, July 5: Independence Day observed, no trash or yard waste pickup
• Tuesday, July 6: Areas normally serviced on Monday
• Wednesday, July 7: Areas normally serviced on Tuesday
• Thursday, July 8: Areas normally serviced on Wednesday
• Friday, July 9: Areas normally serviced on Thursday
