South Bend announces holiday trash schedule and end of yard waste season

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The City of South Bend has announced the upcoming holiday trash pick-up schedule and the end of the season for yard waste pick-up.

During the week of Nov. 22, Thursday’s trash and yard waste collection will be delayed by one day due to Thanksgiving. Service is set to take place on Nov. 26.

The city’s yard waste program will end its season on Dec. 2. However, residents can still schedule one, free, extra monthly pick up of 10, 30-gallon biodegradable paper bags. You can schedule a pick-up by submitting an online form here or by calling 311.

Residents can also drop off yard waste to the City’s Organic Resources facility, located at 4340 Trade Dr., for a fee.
