Smithfoods are voluntarily recalling 16 oz. pint packages of “Earth Grown Vegan Non-Dairy Almond Based Frozen Desserts.”
Smithfoods says the recall is due to a cashew allergen that may be in the product and is not listed as a possible allergen on the product’s packaging.
The products were sold at ALDI stores across the county including in Indiana and Michigan.
So far there has been one reported incident of an allergic reaction.
Consumers who have purchased this product are encouraged to throw it away or return it to ALDI for a refund.
