DOWAGIAC, Mich. -- A shots fired complaint drew Dowagiac Police officers out to Riverside Drive, near Hill Street, on Saturday for reports of shots fired. 

Authorities say at around 11:15 p.m., they received a call from a group of people who were sledding at the Elks Golf Course who say they saw two vehicles described as a grey sedan and white SUV discharging firearms.

"An unknown individual was seen on foot; fleeing from the area when the shooting occurred," Dowagiac police said. "This case is still under investigation, at this time Dowagiac Police Department has received no reports of injuries as a result of this incident."
