Shooting on Ardmore Trail leaves one person injured

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Police Department confirms one person was injured in a shooting overnight.

Around 12:23 a.m. Sunday, SBPD responded to reports of a shooting in the 3400 block of Ardmore Trail at the Beacon Heights Apartment complex. 

One victim with a gunshot wound was transported to a local hospital. Their injuries were minor and non-life-threatening. 

The South Bend Violent Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation.
