Shooting in South Bend said not to be a criminal assault shooting, according to police

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind.-- Detectives with the South Bend Police Department that investigated a shooting on S. Mayflower Road on June 12 said that the shooting was not a criminal assault shooting.
According to police, the shooting occurred around 2:43 a.m. on that Wednesday morning in the 1000 block of S. Mayflower Road.
A 20-year-old male sustained a non-life threatening wound to the thigh.
Police did not reveal any other information about the shooting at this time.
