SHIPSHEWANA, Ind. -- A mother was arrested Wednesday after the death of her infant at a Shipshewana residence in April.

Chantel Cunningham, a 24-year-old woman from Shipshewana, is charged with Murder and Neglect of a Dependent, Causing Death, both Level 1 Felonies.

Detectives with the Indiana State Police determined there was enough evidence to charge Cunningham with the murder of her child after an investigation that began when they were called to a Shipshewana residence on Apr. 6.

Cunningham is currently being held at the LaGrange County Jail.
