BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- The Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety (BHDPS) automatic aid companies were dispatched to the scene of a house fire Wednesday afternoon around 2:40 on Ogden Avenue.

Upon arrival, responding units found flames flowing from the attic and initiated an interior fire attack and search.

There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is still under investigation. 

BHDPS was assisted by several departments including Benton Charter Township Fire Department, St. Joseph Department of Public Safety, Lincoln Charter Township Firefighters, and Medic 1 Ambulance.

The American Red Cross will be assisting the residents with housing and immediate needs.
