SBCSC announces two top personnel changes
SOUTH BEND, Ind. — The superintendent for the South Bend Community School Corporation has announced two personnel changes within the district.
Dr. Todd Cummings says the Director of Transportation, Juan Legus, has resigned. The Food and Nutrition Director, Victoria Moore, has also resigned.
According to Cummings, the current Chief Operating Officer, Rene Sanchez, will temporarily take on the additional role of Director of Transportation while a national search for a replacement gets underway.
The corporation says the changes are aimed at helping solving problems related to the student lunch issues and ongoing transportation issues that have plagued the district.
In a statement, Cummings said "our students can't learn if we can't get them to their schools in the morning. They deserve better and I will continue to look for additional ways to improve not only transportation, but all of our services. Food and transportation are two major areas that call for improvement, and I expect to see those improvements soon."
