Pete Thamel, a reporter for Yahoo Sports, posted a tweet on Monday evening that reads "LSU expecting to hire Brian Kelly away from Notre Dame" according to their sources.

ESPN has also reported that Brian Kelly is expected to be LSU's next football head coach, according to their sources.
Brian Kelly surpassed the record for most wins as a Notre Dame Head Coach during the 2021 regular season.
