Ronald McDonald House Charities partnering with United Federal Credit Union for Pop Tab Palooza

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- Ronald McDonald House Charities of Michiana is hosting an event for the community where they can donate their pop tabs to help families with sick and injured children.

They are teaming up with United Federal Credit Union to host the 2nd annual Pop Tab Palooza.

The event will take place on July 16 at the United Federal Credit Union Edison Lakes Branch from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. where families can drive up and donate their collected pop tabs.

After donating them, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Michiana will partner with OmniSource to weigh and recycle them. OmniSource will provide a cash payment for the pop tabs, which will then go to Beacon Children's Hospital.

These funds will support the operating expenses of caring for families of sick and injured children receiving care at the hospital.
