SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The City of South Bend Department of Public Works reports that they will begin a roadway reconstruction project on Riverside Drive this Wednesday, from Boland Drive to just south of Cleveland Road.

The project is expected to be completed by mid-October, with Riverside Drive being closed for the duration.

Construction will take place in two phases. During the first phase, detour routes will be Cleveland Road and Boland Drive via Portage Avenue.

Access to the Chet Waggoner Little League will remain open from the north side of Riverside Drive off Cleveland Road.
