ABC 57 BENTON HARBOR, Mich. -- Three-on-three basketball teams can now register to play in the 2026 "Gus Macker on The River Tournament."
It's happening in Benton Harbor on Riverview Drive July 26 through 28. ABC57 is the TV sponsor of the event.
It's open to players of all skill levels from 8 and under to 80 and over. Part of Riverview Drive in downtown Benton Harbor will be transformed into "Mackerville" for the weekend to help raise money for the host charity The Harbor Impact Foundation.
Harbor Impact Basketball coach and foundation co-founder Rodney Alexander, Jr. played at Benton Harbor High School and the University of Illinois, as well as professionally overseas for a decade. He's gathering local businesses, governments, schools, and more to play in a friendly corporate 3-on-3 challenge on Friday June 26, before the official Gus Macker Tournament tips off on Saturday June 27. Championship games and trophy presentations will be held on Sunday June 28.
