Purdue University investigating student killed in dorm room

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - A student at Purdue University was killed in his residence hall room early Wednesday morning, according to a letter from Purdue President Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr.

The suspect is the victim's roommate, according to the letter.

The roommate called police to report the incident and is now in custody.

The Purdue University Police Department continues to investigate this incident.
