Potawatomi Zoo welcomes baby sloth

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The Potawatomi Zoo is welcoming a new baby sloth to their animal family. 

The two-toed sloth was born Tuesday morning to first-time mother, Tofu. 

The baby has since been examined by medical staff at the Zoo and is determined to be strong and active. 

Tofu is said to be protective of her new baby and likes to keep it wrapped in her arms. 

Guests can visit Tofu and her baby at the Learning Center at the Zoo.
