SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Kitchen Skatepark in South Bend announced that they will be closing down after eight years of being in business.
The park’s owner, BMX pro Brett Banasiewicz, said that the decision was made to close it down because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Kitchen will be hosting a final celebratory weekend event (May 29-31) as a proper send-off for the skatepark.
The Kitchen will also be selling off various items contained within the skatepark (such as banners and memorabilia).
If you are interested in purchasing these items, message Brett Banasiewicz on Facebook.
The Kitchen said in a Facebook post that they are grateful for all the support they have received over the years.
