ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. — Police in Mishawaka and South Bend are investigating two armed robberies that happened within thirty minutes of each other early Friday morning.
The first incident happened at the Family Express in the 1700 block of Union Street at 12:35 a.m. The suspects took off on foot from the Family Express.
The second incident happened at the Freshway in the 1800 block of Miami Street at 1:08 a.m but this time drove off in an older, dark-colored Ford Explorer.
There were no injuries reported in either incident.
Police are searching for four to five suspects that are all described as black males.
Officials believe the two robberies are connected.
Officers will be stationed at open gas stations in the area for safety reasons.
