Police investigate fatal motorcycle crash near Concord Mall
One man has died after a motorcycle crash in front of Concord Mall Tuesday night.
The Elkhart Police Department says officers were dispatched to the 3700 block of South Main Street at approximately 7:06 p.m. in regards to a crash involving a passenger car and a motorcycle.
According to officials, the motorcycle was traveling southbound on South Main Street when a red Honda traveling northbound turned left in front of the motorcycle attempting to enter a parking lot.
The driver of the motorcycle was transported to Elkhart General Hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.
The driver of the car involved was not injured, Elkhart Police say he has been very cooperative in the investigation.
Police are still investigating and believe alcohol was not a factor in the incident.
The driver of the motorcycle was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
