Pokagon State Park will open its toboggan run this Friday
STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. – The toboggan run at Pokagon State park will be open to visitors beginning Friday, Nov. 27.
While new COVID-19 precautions will be in place this year, much of the attraction will stay the same.
In particular, only one track will be open to ensure guests and staff members can maintain a safe distance from one another.
Fewer than half of the normal number of toboggans will be available for rent, so guests should anticipate longer wait times.
All riders are required to wear masks and gloves and should socially distance while in line.
The state park has also introduced a new registration process, where guests can reserve a sled using a mobile alert system.
Restrooms will be open at the Warming Center, but concessions, indoor and outdoor seating, and the bonfire area will be closed.
Hours and fees for the toboggan run will be the same as years past.
