Parker Hannifin's Mishawaka facility to close in 2018
MISHAWAKA, Ind. — Parker Hannifin's Electronic Controls Division announced Thursday that it will close its Mishawaka facility and move operations to Morton, Ill., where another facility already exists. According to the company, the transfer plan will begin immediately and end by June 30, 2018.
The company says the transfer will affect about 94 employees. Those employees will be offered a severance package, continued benefits, outplacement support or relocation offers for certain positions.
A Parker Hannifin spokesperson said the decision wasn't easy, but it was necessary to maintain competitiveness within the industry.
The Mishawaka facility, located at 56641 Twin Branch Drive, makes sensors for use in controllers for mobile equipment, including construction and agricultural machinery.
