NILES, Mich. -- On a night when many local races were being called early, a few candidates had to wait until Wednesday to find out the results of their races.

With just 29 percent of precincts reporting, Berrien County has named Republican incumbent Brad Paquette the Michigan State Representative for District 37.

Paquette currently has a total of 24,915 votes (64 percent) while his democratic challenger Angela Jones has 13,855 (36 percent).
