UPDATE: Officers say once they arrived on scene they located a female victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. She was transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
"This is believed to be an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the public," SBPD said. "This remains an active and ongoing investigation by the South Bend Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit."
SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The South Bend Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit is investigating a shooting that occurred at River Shore Apartments Tuesday morning.
Officials say that one person was injured in the shooting, which occurred around 6:40 a.m. EST.
