One person left with life-threatening injuries after rollover crash
Berrien County Sheriff\'s Department BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- Berrien County Sheriff's Office reports that deputies responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash on I-94, around East Road, around 12:15 a.m. on Friday.
Deputies that arrived on scene found that the driver/sole occupant, a 25-year-old male from Flint, was ejected from the vehicle and sustained serious, life-threatening injuries. Deputies, along with medical personnel, rendered immediate medical first aid before the driver was transported to a local hospital. The driver was then airlifted to a Grand Rapids area hospital where he remains in critical condition.
Evidence from the scene shows the driver lost control of the vehicle, ran off the roadway to the right, and overturned multiple times before coming to a rest in the ditch along I-94. At the time of the crash, the driver was not wearing their seatbelt properly.
The Berrien County Sheriff’s Office crash reconstruction unit is reconstructing the crash which remains under investigation.
