One dead following crash involving golf cart

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- Marshall County Sheriff's Department reports one man is dead following a golf cart crash.

Around 1:09 a.m., Sunday, the Marshall County Sheriff's Department received information on a golf cart crash. After the investigation, it was found that a 64-year-old James Galt Jr., of Plymouth, had left Pretty Lake Golf Club driving a golf cart.

Galt then drove the golf cart off an embankment onto the asphalt parking lot.

Galt was pronounced dead at the scene by the Marshall County Coroner's Office. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
