One killed in vehicle, wheelchair crash

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich. – One person has died following a crash involving an SUV and a motorized wheelchair Monday evening, the Three Rivers Police Department reported. 

At 6:38 p.m., officers from the Police Department and the Three Rivers Fire Department were called to the area of Millard Street and Erie for reports of a crash involving an SUV and a motorized wheelchair.

The wheelchair rider was transported to a hospital and later died at the hospital, police said.

An Accident Investigator from the Michigan State Police assisted in the investigation.
