One injured in two-vehicle crash caused by poor visibility

CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- The Cass County Sheriff's Office is investigating a crash that was reportedly caused by winter weather.

Deputies say a vehicle driven by a 62-year-old man was heading northbound on Detroit Road near Dodge Court in Howard Township, around 6:52 p.m. on Wednesday. Due to poor visibility, the driver then crossed the center line, striking a southbound vehicle.

The first driver was taken to the hospital for his injuries. SMCAS and the Howard Township Fire Department also responded.
