One dead after single vehicle crash on Cleveland and Bittersweet

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. --- St. Joseph County Police responded to a single vehicle crash just after midnight Sunday. First responders found the vehicle crushed against a utility pole with one person trapped, according to police.
Medics attempted life-saving measures on scene, but were unsuccessful. Zackery Grenert, 24, of South Bend was pronounced dead on scene.
Witnesses confirmed the vehicle hit the roundabout on Cleveland and Bittersweet before crashing into a utility pole, according to police. Speed is believed to be a contributing factor.
