Violent Crimes Unit investigating shooting with one victim
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The St. Joseph County Prosecutor's office has identified the man killed in a shooting at the American Legion Post 284 as 25-year-old Theodore Braun.
Police responded to calls of a shooting on Grant Street just after 11:30 p.m. Friday.
Bruce Bennett, 59, was arrested on preliminary suspicions of murder. He's been booked at St. Joseph County Jail and police say formal criminal charged are expected to filed Monday.
Officials witnesses had the suspect pinned down when they arrived on the scene at American Legion.
