Obama visits Detroit with pro-job focus

DETRIOT, Mich.-President Obama visited Detroit yesterday where he addressed a pro-union crowd on Labor Day.


 Obama recognized that unions helped build the middle class and that America cannot have a strong growing economy without a strong growing middle class, the president said that's the central challenge we face in the country today.


color:black">He also called out congress. On Friday, the Labor Department reported there were no jobs added in August, a first since 1945.


Thursday the president will address congress as he lays out his new jobs plan.
