MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Nurses at the Saint Joseph Health System Mishawaka Medical Center dressed up the babies in the neo-natal intensive care unit in hand-made costumes for Halloween.
The nurses tried to match the costumes to each baby's budding personalities.
"The nurses came up with the idea for each individual baby and they get know the baby's personality and probably have some ideas. Some of the costumes lay on top and others are what you put the babies in," said Amy Murray, the Internal Director of Maternal Child Services.
Some of the costumes included popcorn, a troll and a pirate.
The nurses were hoping to bring some normalcy to the parents while celebrating their baby's first Halloween.
