National College Decision Day is pushed back this year
Notre Dame women's basketball hasn't lost a home conference game in women's basketball since joining the ACC, but unranked Syracuse gave the second-ranked Irish a scare - through three quarters.
The Irish pulled away in the fourth quarter to win 87-72, improving to 12-1 on the season. They were led by Jessica Shepard, who was a game-time decision but notched her sixth double-double with 24 points and 12 rebounds. Jackie Young added 23 and Kathryn Westbed dropped in 16.
