SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Notre Dame will host the first ever college football playoff game on an institution's campus on Friday, December 20th at 8 P.M. on ABC57 as they take on in state opponent Indiana.
The Irish come into the matchup as the 7th seed in the playoffs, while the Hoosiers are the 10th seed.
Both teams enter this matchup with 11-1 records this season.
The matchup will be the 30th meeting all time between the Irish and the Hoosiers — their last matchup coming back on September 7th, 1991 — where the Irish won 49-27 at Notre Dame Stadium.
Notre Dame is 23-5-1 all time against Indiana.
The winner of this matchup will move on to face the 2nd seeded Georgia Bulldogs in the Allstate Sugar Bowl on January 1st.
