Niles man arrested for meth possession and maintaining a drug house

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. - A 61-year-old Niles Township man was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, delivery of a Schedule II narcotic, and maintaining a drug house.

The arrest occurred after the Southwest Enforcement Team (SWET) west detectives and Berrien County Sheriff's Office conducted a search warrant at his property in the in the 200 block of Roberts St. in Niles Township on Wednesday afternoon. 

The warrant stemmed from a hydrocodone pill trafficking investigation SWET launched after receiving multiple tips regarding open drug sales at the residence. 

Upon conducting the search, they located over 24 grams of crystal methamphetamine. 

The owner of the residence was promptly arrested and booked at the Berrien County Jail.
