Niles' family-friendly fall festival happening Oct. 26
NILES, Mich. -- The City of Niles Downtown Development Authority will be hosting its 2nd Annual Fall Festival on Saturday (Oct. 26) with a full slate of autumn activities.
"We’ll be celebrating the fall season with a variety of activities for all ages, including arts and crafts, tours, special business deals, and more," organizers said.
Festival Highlights Include:
- Niles Public Art Commission Pumpkin Carving Contest from 10 a.m. to noon: at the annual pumpkin carving and painting contest, hosted by the Niles Art Commission. Participants must bring a pre-carved or decorated pumpkin to the Niles History Center. Cash prizes will be given in 4 age categories!
- Carriage Rides 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.: Experience a picturesque, old-fashioned carriage ride through downtown Niles and enjoy the scenic fall landscape with family and friends.
- 25th Annual Downtown Safe Trick or Treat 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.: Join us for the 25th Annual Downtown Safe Trick or Treat where kids can visit local businesses for treats, creating a safe and spooky experience for all.
- Fall Artisan Market 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.: Shop from a variety of local artisans offering handcrafted goods, fall-themed decorations, jewelry, and more. Support local crafters while picking up unique gifts or seasonal items.
- All Day Niles History Center – Odd & Unusual Self-Guided Tour: Take a self-guided tour of the Niles History Center and discover the eccentric history of fascinating people, places, and events that make Niles a unique and vibrant community.
Throughout the day, local band The Redbud Ramblers will also be providing live music, and many businesses will feature unique specials in honor of the festival.
