One injured in Jefferson Township crash

ABC 57

JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- The Cass County Sheriff’s Office reports deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash that occurred at the intersection of Pine Lake Street and Dailey Road in Jefferson Township around 6:21 p.m. Saturday.

Upon arrival, officers found that 27-year-old Ronald Lard was traveling eastbound on Pine Lake St when he failed to stop at the stop sign.

The second vehicle, driven by a 19-year-old Mishawaka woman, was traveling southbound on Daily Road when Lard’s vehicle struck it at the intersection, according to police.

EMS was called and transported the second vehicle's passenger to Saint Joseph Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

All occupants of the vehicles were using their seatbelts at the time and neither alcohol nor drugs appear to be a factor in this crash.
