LA PORTE, Ind. -- Bon Viet, a new establishment in La Porte, is set to become the first Vietnamese restaurant in the city.
Located at 501 West Lincolnway Street, the restaurant is set to begin serving the community with authentic Vietnamese cuisine starting sometime in mid-August or September.
Bon Viet will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays.
The owners say that their food experience has been passed down through three generations, and their goal is to give the city of La Porte something it hasn't seen from a culinary standpoint before.
"Our goal is to share delicious, healthy and full-flavored Vietnamese cuisine options to all those with a passion for great food prepared with true ingredients, passion and care," according to their website description.
