Rain bookends the Easter Weekend
SOUTH BEND, Ind., --- South Bend Police are investigating an early morning shooting that claimed the life of one male.
Officials say they were called to the 200 block of South Lafayette Boulevard around 3:20 a.m. on Sunday for reports of shots fired.
As officers were investigating, they were advised that a victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds arrived at Memorial Hospital.
The male later died from his injuries.
At this time the victim's name is being withheld until his family is notified.
The homicide is under investigation by the South Bend Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit.
