GREENSBORO, N.C—Since joining the ACC, Notre Dame women’s basketball team has won six straight regular season championships.
The Irish will meet the Louisville Cardinals Sunday for a chance at the ACC title.
A senior guard spoke about what the Irish could have done better last year.
“I feel like last year we really didn’t play good enough defense and we didn’t play our best. So hopefully learning from that and playing better,” said Marina Mabrey.
While Head Coach Muffet McGraw focused on the possibility of returning to the NCAA Tournament in Chicago.
“I mean, we definitely want to come out with a win. That’s why you’re here. But we’re playing for Chicago. We feel like if we win we could be in Chicago, so that’s a big motivation for us,” Coach McGraw said.
