MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Police are investigating a possible murder-suicide in Mishawaka.
St. Joseph County Police were dispatched to the 16000 block of Valley Trail in Mishawaka around 12:45 a.m. Thursday.
When officers arrived, they found the bodies of two men with gunshot wounds.
They also found multiple guns.
The men were identified as Brent Gregory, 43, the resident of the home, and Kenneth Hunt, 43, of Niles.
Gregory had been Chief Executive Chef for Notre Dame Food Services, the university confirmed to ABC57.
A Notre Dame spokesperson confirmed Gregory’s death, saying in part, “His smile was contagious and his love for culinary creations was evident and all he did. He was patient with others, never met a stranger and was willing to serve our ladies university with all his heart. We are deeply saddened by his passing and have his family and friends in our prayers.”
The St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit is handling the investigation.
They reportedly spoke with witnesses and say they are not seeking any suspects.
