Mooreland woman dies in car crash

FULTON COUNTY, Ind. -- Indiana State Police and Fulton County Police respond to a two-vehicle crash, which resulted in a Moreland woman's death.

On Wednesday at 8:37 a.m. officers from Indiana State Police and the Fulton County Sheriff's Department responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of State Road 14 and Fulton County Road 1100 West.

The investigation revealed 81-year-old Madonna Mawk was driving eastbound on State Road 14 approaching County Road 1100 West. Evidence shows Mawk attempted to turn north onto County Road when she hit a semi-tractor pulling a box trailer going westbound.

Mawk was pronounced dead at the scene, the other driver was reported not injured. Mawk was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash

The investigation is ongoing, at this time neither alcohol or narcotics is suspected.
