Mishawaka autism center partners with Beacon Health for first training seminar

MISHAWAKA, Ind. – Lighthouse Autism Center is partnering with Beacon Health Systems to host its first Autism 101 training.

The center will host the training session on Thursday, which will be attended by nurses, emergency responders and other Beacon Health staff members.

Attendees will receive training from a board certified Behavior Analyst.

Lighthouse says the goal of the training is not only to raise awareness for those living with autism in Michiana, but to also provide emergency responders with tools that will help someone with autism.

The center will give Autism Resource Kits to first responders to utilize in emergency situations.
