MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. – A Michigan City man has died following a shooting in the 1600 block of E. Michigan Boulevard Wednesday night, the Michigan City Police Department announced.
At 8:02 p.m., dispatch received a 911 call about a person suffering from multiple gunshot wounds on E. Michigan Boulevard.
At the scene, officers located 53-year-old Jimmy Brown inside a vehicle with multiple life-threatening injuries.
Brown and a passenger who was with him were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Brown died from his injuries.
The passenger received medical treatment at the hospital.
Officers found an additional crime scene in the 100 block of Butler Street.
There, a person of interest was detained.
